What you will learn at FusionFit239™
Our Fitness Services at FusionFit239™
At FusionFit239™, our services are designed to meet you wherever you are on your fitness journey, whether you're taking your first Pilates class or refining an advanced Reformer practice. We believe lasting results come from a variety of well-rounded services that challenge your body in different ways while keeping every session enjoyable, supportive, and effective. From mat-based fundamentals to equipment-driven strength training, our full lineup of services gives Fort Myers area clients the flexibility to build a routine that truly fits their goals.
Our Pilates services form the foundation of what we do. We offer several distinct Pilates formats, including Mat, Core, Glute, and Sculpt classes, each built around the same core principles of breath, control, and precision that Joseph Pilates first developed nearly a century ago. Whether you're drawn to the low-impact, body-weight-based movements of Mat Pilates or the added resistance training in our Sculpt sessions, these services help you build core strength, improve flexibility, and develop body awareness that carries over into everyday movement.
Beyond Pilates, our studio's services expand into Barre and Yoga, two disciplines that round out a well-balanced fitness routine. Barre blends ballet-inspired movement with Pilates and strength-training principles, using a stationary handrail to support small, high-repetition exercises that build long, lean muscle. Our Yoga services range from gentle, restorative Yin sessions to more active, breath-synchronized styles that build strength and ease everyday stress. Together, these services give members a chance to slow down, stretch deeply, and reconnect with their breath.
For clients focused on lower-body strength, our Glute Builder services offer a targeted, results-driven approach using resistance bands, dumbbells, and specialized equipment to isolate and build the glute muscles, improving posture and pelvic stability. It's one of our most popular services among members who want a focused burn in a shorter session.
No discussion of our services would be complete without the Pilates Reformer. Using a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, and a footbar, our Reformer services provide a low-impact, full-body workout that challenges your muscles through a full range of motion while protecting your joints. Many clients find our Reformer-based services deliver noticeably faster improvements in posture, balance, and muscle tone.
For those who prefer individualized attention, our Private Instruction services pair you with an experienced trainer for a one-on-one session tailored to your needs and goals. Whether recovering from an injury or training for a specific event, our private services let us adjust pacing and intensity in real time.
What ties all of our services together is a shared commitment to safe, mindful movement taught by knowledgeable instructors. As you explore the services described below, consider how combining a few — Reformer twice a week paired with a restorative Yin Yoga class, for example — can create a rounded, sustainable routine.
We're proud of the variety of services we've built at FusionFit239™, and we're always happy to help new members find the combination of services that best matches their goals. Reach out anytime, or simply drop in and experience our services firsthand.
Pilates - Mat
Mat Pilates is a foundational, low-impact exercise system that focuses on building core strength, flexibility, and muscle tone. Performed on the floor using a padded mat, it relies almost exclusively on your own body weight and gravity for resistance, though instructors may incorporate accessories like resistance bands or light weights
Pilates - Core
Pilates is built on six foundational principles: Breath, Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision, and Flow. Originally called "Contrology" by its creator, Joseph Pilates, this method prioritizes mindful, high-quality movement over sheer repetition to safely build strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Pilates-Glute
Pilates is highly effective for isolating and strengthening the gluteal muscles (the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus) without heavy weights. By focusing on slow, controlled movements, mindful core engagement, and high repetitions, you can improve muscle endurance, pelvic stability, and posture.
Pilates - Sculpt
Pilates Sculpt blends traditional core-focused Pilates with high-energy resistance training. Using light hand weights, resistance bands, and gliding discs, this low-impact workout elevates your heart rate while deeply toning muscles and improving posture.
Barre
Barre is a popular, low-impact fitness workout that blends movements inspired by ballet with principles of Pilates, yoga, and strength training. It utilizes a stationary handrail (the barre) for balance while focusing on small, controlled, high-repetition movements designed to fatigue muscles and build endurance.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient Indian practice encompassing physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation. Modern practitioners use it to build flexibility, strength, and stress relief. Popular styles range from gentle, slow-paced stretching like Yin to active, breath-synchronized movement like Vinyasa.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga where passive postures are held for 3 to 10 minutes. It targets deep connective tissues (fascia, tendons, and ligaments) rather than muscles, using props like bolsters to allow gravity to do the stretching.
Glute Builder
A Glute Builder class is a targeted, lower-body strength and conditioning workout focused on isolating, toning, and building the glute muscles (maximus, medius, and minimus). These sessions utilize a mix of resistance bands, heavy dumbbells, and specialized equipment like hip thrust machines for a highly focused burn.
Reformer
A Pilates reformer is a specialized exercise machine that features a sliding carriage, adjustable springs for variable resistance, ropes, pulleys, and a footbar. It is used for low-impact, full-body workouts designed to improve core strength, flexibility, posture, and muscular balance.
